Minimally Invasive Surgery

A large proportion of our soft tissue knee surgery is performed using a minimally invasive technique called arthroscopy. This involves making a small 1 cm cut on the skin on the front of the knee, one on each side of the knee joint, and very occasionally a further 1 or 2 stab incisions on the skin around the knee joint. This technique leaves very small scars and allows faster recovery following the surgery compared to conventional open techniques.
